mixed emotions..

Sorry I havent been around this week. It has been a big week here, lots going on, lots of mixed emotions. Last weekend it was my girls 8th birthday. We had a big weekend with a sleepover party, singstar and lots of fun. She had a magnificent time, and was so happy it was lovely. She even got a surprise visit from her cousins which just topped it all off.

a little bit of disco!

We also had a visit to the doctors for both Freckles and myself. Freckles had an injury that was not healing on her leg and had to get minor surgery done on it, so it has been very sore all week, and still ongoing. Myself, I had a filthy case of Pharangytis, the sorest throat on the planet, fevers, chills, lethargy it was horrid, but I am feeling a little better now.

Other than that I have been completing alot of Fathers Day orders and sent out an order for a wedding party this week. It was so fun and they turned out gorgeous dont you think?

wedding order on its way to WA.

And lastly...yesterday was the 2 year anniversary of my fathers death. An extremely hard day for me, too hard to put into words actually. I am still having trouble coming to terms with it and probably need to seek some help for it, as i still talk, and act as if he is still here, I just cant seem to accept it. Luckily I have some beautiful friends who helped me through the day, so thank you to you all, you know who you are.

To my dad, I miss you more than words, the hole in my heart is huge. It still feels like yesterday since you slipped away in my arms..I cannot accept it and would dearly love you back even for a day..I love you dad x

70.

On Saturday my mother in law aka Judith, turned 70.
To mark his special occasion my beautiful sister in laws created a gorgeous tea party on sunday afteroon at her home, with all the special people in her life. The theme was pink and yellow, and apparently from what i have heard was a HUGE success.
Our little contribution to this lovely afternoon was to cook cupcakes! And to say we had fun doing it is an understatement. We made them in gorgeous pink with white polka dot baking cups with scalloped edges, no ordinary run of the mill cups for this special lady.

beautiful baking cups (we used the pink polka dot one in mini & large size)

We iced them in yummy butter cream in colours of lemon, light green and light pink. We then decorated them in with lots of different things, from jelly bellys in colours of pink, yellow and green. Also shiny silver balls, little fizzy florets in gorgoeous colours, pink and white polka dot smarties and sweet little sugar flowers. They were so pretty. Thanks to mum for helping me and the kids, whilst I was so sick. Anyway I could not go to the party (poo!) but my family had a wonderful time! Thank you Madonna & Nic for creating such a special day and memory.

a little late but..

Okay so last week, it was my birthday.

I didnt mention it because well, if you have been reading I had a fairly crap week last week, and so this little event sort of went unnoticed.

Apart from my nearest and dearest, it was a fairly non event, which was sort of good because I wasnt in the mood!

Some highlights of my birthday did include the following -

1. being greeted at first light by a divine bunch of fresh picked flowers out my girlfriends garden. left at my front door in a goulbourn valley fruit jar (we soooo live in the country)

2. my babies hand wrapped with love little gifts, and lots of love and kisses.

3. phone calls from family and friends, far and wide.

4. mail in the mailbox, that wasnt a bill!

So this is a shout out to all the lovelies out there who made me feel special! Love yoous peeps!

birthday shout out..

happy birthday to my georgeous girl (shes the one on the left).
I know she is not celebrating today as we should have been.
My gorgeous friend is going through a very hurtful time at the moment, and so we cannot celebrate with the joy, love and happiness we should.
I love you Mary, with all my heart, and you are in my heart. I love you. xo

3

The Birthday Boy.
He is 3.
Yes, him, my boy 3. Not 2, not 2 and a half but 3.

opening pressies on top pf dad
He turned 3 yesterday. I cannot believe it, can you tell?

making birthday pancakes for breakfast with dad

Three years ago yesterday I had no idea I was having a boy.
No idea that I would be 2 weeks overdue, again.
the end product..

No idea that breaking your waters can bring on contractions like a train out of control.

the asked for chocolate birthday cake
No idea that I could do labour, drug free and come out feeling like the ultimate earth mother and punching the air a-la Rocky.

No idea that the very first visitor would be my dad, to see his new baby boy, to hold him in his arms.

freckles

No idea that that would be the last time he would meet any of my newborn children.

let them eat cake,..so we did!

No idea how special that memory and the memory of taking my dad to the scan, would actually end up being.

freckles & her bestie Miss G

No idea how much my dad desperately wanted me to call him Harry!

Aunty Cinta, she drove for 2 hours just to give him the "present of the day" a remote controlled monster truck. She drove 2 hours, to sit with him while he opened it, and enjoy the moment, she stayed for a cuppa and a chat and then drove 2 hours home again. What a woman!

No idea, that I could make such an amazing, spirited, handsome, gorgeous, adorable little man.No idea, that I could ever love another man as much as I love him.

No idea that I had enough room in my heart to love another baby, and so much so it overwhelms me at times, literally, it takes my breath away.

No idea, how lucky I am.I love you boy, you light up my life in so many ways, I cannot count.Happy Birthday Big Boy
Love Mummy xo
