mathildas market wrap up..

So last Saturday Lovestamp went on the road to the lovely Brisvegas. It was a fabulous day out..with lots of gorgeous customers new and old {not literally old, but you know what I mean!}  It was a long day but a great one...a huge thanks to my lovely sister in law Jazz for coming along and selling up a storm as usual, she is a great motivator and really enjoys mixing it up with the people. Two other huge thanks go to my mum, for always coming along and supporting me, also allowing me a loo break! Also thanks to one of my BFF's Sonya for taking my peeps for the afternoons so I can earn a coin to buy some cocktails on the trip later in the year..you are a legend.

So whilst I was there I picked up some loveliness...check out my stash..

Sharing the love at Mathildas Market February 2010..

Well, happy to announce that Lovestamp will once again be gracing Mathildas Market in February. I love Mathildas Market and you will too...so many stalls, so many goodies..such a great day out. This time Mathildas has moved to an even better location...The Brisbane Racing Club at Ascot. Also it is a full day event, so no excuses! So there will be plenty of parking, plenty of room..and heaps of fun. So don't forget to pop it on your calendar, book sitter (or grandma) and come out for a day of fun and bargains..oh and bring your peeps...

A few days ago I got a gorgeous email from one of my clients. Her name is Rachel Richter and she is a fabulous Brisbane based photographer. I met Rachel at the last Mathildas Market where she purchased on of my Big Girl heart bangles for her daughter. Mathildas Market -the wrap!

So last sunday i had the pleasure of being apart of Mathildas Market at Brisbane City Hall.

To say it was a blast was an understatement! It was so much fun, and I especially loved seeing all those gorgeous rounded ready to pop bellies, ( i could hear my ovaries screaming at me!) Mum came along to give me a hand and had just as much fun. Lots of lovely people popping over to say hello, new customers gained, and old customers who popped over to see the new stuff! Lots of comments from people who read the blog - HELLO - you know who you are so thanks for sharing, I am glad someone reads my ramblings! LOL. Lovestamp had a great day and was recieved so well it actually overwhelmed me! Lots of lovely other stalls, and we were between the gorgeous girls from Three Little Trees & the luscious ladies from Details Details, so we were very lucky. Only thing is we kept wanting to eat the Details Details display! But they didnt let us slip out without some chocolates, lollipops and a cupcake each, thanks ladies, sugar high was definately called for.

Also a big shout out to Sue & Rob for coming all the way into town just to visit me, sans kids and with no one under 7 in their family it was a big call! Super appreciated! xo

one down, two to go!

So, for the past month or so I have been gearing up for what I have termed Market season for lovestamp. Three markets is one month = very busy me! So the first market was last weekend, and I have to say I was extremely nervous to be doing it. It is sort of easy to sit here behind my lappy, but to actually get out there, that is a little harder. The build up had been hectic with school holidays, me being sick as a dog with a horrendous 3 week flu, that is still hanging on, and just life in general, but we got there, and it was all alright on the night as they say. Firstly I want to say a huge thank you to a few people, first of all my amazing mother, who sewed for me, babysat for me, fed me, looked after me and wiped my tears over the past few weeks, where would I be without you mum, I love you. Mr Petrie, my husband, supported me, helped me immensly, helped me get prepared, tackled the little peeps and just nursed me while I have been ill, you are a super husband, even though you drive me bonkers! You got up early in the cold and dark on sunday to help me with the market, you spruiked, you raved, you got people interested, you handed out over 250 business cards, you were a lifesaver, even when I had an anxiety attack mid afternoon you still kept going, thank you. To all my lovely family and friends who made the trek out, Sonya & Georga, Madonna Carl & the kids, Vanessa & Isobel, Ange Ray & Sophie, Mary Terry & baby sam, Jacinta, Christine from Little Diva, Claire & her kids, all my lovely customers, and all my new ones, thank you. It was a fabulous day, beautiful sunny skies, lots of chocolate and coffee and a huge crowd. Lovestamp had a hugely successful day, and we are very proud, but could not have done it without all of you, so thank you. Lovestamp will definatley be back at the Boutique Markets soon!

Now on to the next market this weekend - Mathildas Market Brisbane. On this sunday there are around 70 stalls I believe so it should make for a great day, rain or shine! So come on down and say hello!

Other than that lots has been happening, spent some time with our lovely friends, had a bbq, went to music show with the kids at the powerhouse, to the park. Freckles had a few sleepovers with best friends and cousins, a truly busy few days in the big smoke.
