my little lovestamp made it into some press this week in a big way, well for lovestamp anyway!

Firstly there was the August Edition of Practical Parenting.

My Heartling was featured on their page for New Things for mum page...I was so excited.

I have been inundated since this appeared and it has only been 48 hours. So thank you to Practical Parenting for believing in my little lovestamp, and welcome to all my new lovestamp lovers!

Secondly a little closer to home, I did an interview a week or so ago for the local Sunshine Coast Daily, our big regional paper here. It was for their friday glossy mag ESP. It came out today and when I got it, I was a little embarrased, it took up 3/4 of the page! Anyway, also exciting, especially for freckles who thinks it is really "cool mum" check it out below!

Satellite Image of Cyclone Hamish

As I type this the Queensland coastline is being battered by tropical cyclone Hamish.The cyclone is heading down the coast towards us and we have cyclone warnings coming on the tv. The weather outside is windy, but not too bad at the moment. I don't think it is going to cross the coast, but you just never know. It is a category 4 at the moment, pretty bad.

So, that is our little bit of exciting news..other than that a very cruisy weekend. A bit of beach, a bit of sleep some yummy food and some gardening. Oh and on the gardening we spent all day today in our garden, cleaning it up, mulching, setting up the compost bin. We took a ginormous trailer load of palm fronds to the dump. And wouldnt you know it "Murphy's Law" creeps up and bites me in the butt! A cyclone is now going to come and destroy all my hard labour! Damn you Hamish! Oh well it looked good for oh....a minute! LOL.

Ok, so it is february, the month of love! And for me it is a busy month with birthdays and anniversarys! The more prominent ones being my hubby's birthday and our wedding anniversary! So to celebrate all things love...I am going to have love month! Starting with this week..fabulous stores, and shops that I love.

So first off the ranks is.... Sarah Jane Studios

This little shop has the most beautiful prints..the one below "This much.." being my favourite! Her work is beautiful and gorgeous and I just want them all..

Weekend wise, pretty cruisy, my lovely mum was here for the weekend which was great. Caught up with some friends for a drink or two by the beach (child free!) which was great.

All in all a lovely weekend! Hope yours was too!

Well have had a very full on week, lots of stuff going on, and the coming week will be no exception. Freckles had a huge week, spending a few days down the southern end of the coast with her bestie, and got competely spoilt rotten by one of her godmothers. She got taken on a special trip to see Cirque De Soleil..how lucky is she..I am so jealous. We then spent the rest of the week, hanging out, going the the movies (Bedtime Stories) Adam Sandler, very funny! Then headed down the southern end of the coast ourselves for a family sleepover with our besties, Trevor & Tracy and their awesome kids! Spent friday night having a few drinks and playing Texas Hold Em' poker till the wee hours. The whiled away the hours Satruday with good food, wine and company
Today we hung at home, headed to the beach, did the washing,

moved some furniture and just hung out.

Big week ahead, lots of orders to fill, school supplies to get organized,

and holiday to get ready for.

Weekend..

Well we had a lovely, but at times busy weekend..

Took freckles to one of her best friends birthday parties, it was very hot and we played mini golf, waterslides, ate cake, opened pressies and had fun..happy birthday lovely girl T xo

Went to nippers this morning, it was club championships...very exciting, it was freckles first one. She did really well, just missed out on a certificate (dissappointment plus) but we made up for it with a yummy icecream on the way home..there is always next time!

Did a fair bit of this..packed boxes for our big move in a few weeks..I am looking forward to it but also a little anxious..I am also having a huge cleanout..woohoo..

Had a lovely nap with my boy this afternoon, snuggled up on my bed with the cool pre rain breeze blowing, the room was dark and the bed was sooooo comfy with my lovely vintage sheets and pillowcases and my "new" old vintage chenille blanket..mmmm deliciousness.

And now I am doing this...whilst doing this..you know this literally. Big week planned lots to do, and get through, more boxes to pack, and also hoping to open my little shop on Etsy by the end of the week..more on that later....woohoo.

Have been busy..

Have been busy busy busy...with Halloween etc..just busy..I dont have my camera as I have lent it to my mum for a wedding today, but will have pics up by the end of the week....in the meantime I am soooo tired and am just about to fall into bed..have had a big day creating some lovely things for my NEW enterprise.."STAY TUNED".

So, the weekend is over and this is what we did...

So we went to the kite festival on the beach in the pouring rain..it was great fun, we caught the shuttle bus, which the boy thought was just beaut. We ran on the beach in bare feet, we flew kites, blew bubbles, ate yummy food and came home completley soaked and exhausted from fun. (I have no pics as hubby has taken my camera to NZ)

Saturday night we had fish and chips with aunty cinta & lizzie and then early to bed.

Sunday was nippers in the rain, and icecream on the way home..as you do! Then we just hung around home and had a nanna nap..not much else.We spoke to daddy, we are missing him like crazy and cannot wait to get him home and in our arms again. My babies are busy keeping his side of the bed warm.

Only 6 more sleeps until we go on holidays..woohoo..yippee!!

That is pretty much it really, but I do have to show you this photo below..this little bundle of love is named William, and he was photographed by a beautiful local photographer..he has definately got my ovaries working overtime...just precious..check out her work here

I also bought this fabulous birthday gift for my lovely girlfriend Jodes last week.

It is called the 2 carat cup. It is a fancy schmancy coffee cup that makes it look like you are wearing a huge diamond ring..it is the coolest..she loves it..

Weekend round up..

Ok so big weekend here..so here goes...

Saturday took the boy to his first ever "invitationed" (is that a word) birthday party for his little friend Alex...they had a jumping castle and party food and cake and a sausage sizzle and a cat, and soccer and little mates and a red bike and bubbles and it was way cool...and I forgot the camera...

So then...

we came home and Aunty Jazz came to stay and to babysit the boy whilst freckle, hubby and I went on a cruise up the river for some friends of ours who are moving back to S.A...it was a great night, lots of drinking and frivolity..also one of the mum's decided to teach the 7 year old girls how to pole dance..why??? who knows...it was all fun and games until freckles got booted in the head (accidently) and then the wheels fell off...

So then...
That was Saturday..Sunday we got up early and headed of to meet our very best buddies for a morning of roller skating at the Rollerdome...or should I say falling over at the Rollerdome..two hours of hilarity for two gorgeous girls who turn 7 this week (one being mine). The daddies got in on the action as well god love them... check out the picks..

We then went and had a lovely lunch and sat in the sun...it was awesome..thanks guys we love you...xo Then on the way home we stopped at a friends place and roamed the property and fed the horses..Hero and Wiz...and then off home to bed because wer were all exhausted..
